What you are hiring
Dealing is the easy part of the job
Anyone can be taught to deal in a fortnight. The rest takes considerably longer.
A table runs well or badly depending on things that have nothing to do with card handling. Whether the host notices the guest standing one step back and invites them in. Whether they can explain a layout in two sentences to someone who is slightly embarrassed to be asking. Whether they can tell that a table has stopped enjoying itself and change the pace without announcing it.
Those are the things we hire and train for, and they are the reason we would rather send one strong host than two adequate ones. A host who cannot read a room will stand behind a beautiful table all evening while guests admire it from a distance.
The other half of the job is knowing where the line is. Our hosts are briefed that there is no money at the table in either direction, that chips cannot be bought or settled, and that a guest asking to play for real is told no, politely and clearly. That briefing does not change because the event belongs to someone else.
- Formal dress, no visible branding. Introduced as part of your team.
- No poaching. Crew do not hand out our details to your client.
- Same written limits. Our rules travel with our people onto your floor.
Roles
Who you can book
Table host / croupier
The core role, and usually the only one a small event needs.
- Runs one table for the full call
- Teaches beginners continuously, not just at the start
- Manages chip issue and the pace of play
- Handles a guest asking for real stakes, correctly
Floor lead
Recommended from about three tables upwards.
- Holds the run sheet and talks to your venue
- Moves crew between tables as the room shifts
- Your single point of contact on the night
- Runs the close and the standings, if you want them
Event facilitator
For sessions with an objective beyond entertainment.
- Builds and manages team rotations
- Runs a structured debrief — see team building
- Briefs the room without turning it into a presentation
- Works to your client’s stated outcome
Crew-only hire does not include tables, chips or cards. If you need the kit as well, that is mobile table hire.
Trade questions
What planners and agencies ask
We are an event agency. Can you work under our brand?
Yes, and a good share of this work is white-label. Our crew arrives in formal dress with no visible branding, is introduced as part of your team, and will not hand out our contact details to your client.
We will ask for a written brief covering how you want the crew introduced and who the on-site decision maker is, so nobody is improvising in front of your client.
Will your hosts work on our tables?
Normally yes. Send photographs and the make if you know it, and we will confirm before booking. The only things that occasionally cause a problem are non-standard layouts and wheels that cannot be levelled.
If your kit turns out to be unusable on the night, we will say so during set-up rather than let a table run badly in front of guests.
What are the crew briefed about the no-gambling rules?
The same thing as on our own events, and it is not negotiable on someone else’s. No money at the table, no chip purchases, no top-ups, no settlement and nothing exchangeable for value. If a guest asks to play for real, the answer is no.
If your client’s brief requires otherwise, we will decline the booking. That is in our Terms & Conditions.
How much notice do you need?
For one or two crew, often a week or less. For a six-host call in the first three weeks of December, as much notice as you can give us — that is the period when we start turning work away.

Send the call sheet
Dates, call times, table count and what kit is already on site. We will confirm availability and rates inside one business day, and we are comfortable working to your paperwork rather than ours.
