Casino-themed offline events · Canada
The look of a casino floor. None of the money.
We build adults-only casino-themed evenings in your venue — real tables, trained croupiers, symbolic chips — for corporate functions, private celebrations and VIP occasions across Canada.
Roulette, blackjack, poker-themed tables and slot machines, hosted by people who can teach a beginner in two minutes
Symbolic chips and points only — nothing to buy, nothing to cash out
One crew for floor plan, kit, lighting, branding and the run sheet
Put a roulette wheel in a function room and something useful happens. People who would otherwise stand in departmental clusters start talking across the table, because the table gives them something to talk about. A croupier who explains the layout well turns a nervous guest into a confident one inside a couple of minutes, and the room loosens up without anyone having to announce an icebreaker.
That social mechanism is what we sell. The money is not part of it. Every guest receives the same stack of symbolic chips at the door, nobody can buy more with cash, and nothing on the table can be exchanged for money or for anything of value at the end of the night. Remove the stake and you keep all of the atmosphere while losing every part of the risk.
It also means we can work comfortably with HR teams, compliance officers and venues that would never sign off on anything resembling real play. We put the limits in writing before you book, not in the small print afterwards.
Offline only. A physical room, physical tables, a human host. We run no platform and no app where anyone could play.
Adults only. Every event is 18+. Our hosts support your venue in checking age at the door.
Written limits. The no-money, no-prizes terms are in your quote and in our Terms & Conditions.
What we run
Nine formats, built from the same crew
Most clients arrive asking for “a casino night” and leave with something more specific. These are the shapes that evening usually takes.
Low light, brass and felt, people standing two deep behind a table arguing cheerfully about whether to split a pair.
Full-size wheel, dressed to the roomGuests 18+, alwaysHosts who teach, not just dealUnmarked chips, no denominations
Every chip you see is symbolic and carries no printed value, because it has none. Photography on this site shows adults aged 18+ and over at private events.
How an evening runs
From load-in to strike
The shape barely changes between a 40-guest private party and a 300-guest year-end function. Only the crew size does.
01
Load-in and set
We arrive well before guests, build the tables, dress them, set the lighting and walk the floor plan with your venue contact.
2–3 hours before doors
02
Doors and chips
Guests are welcomed, age is checked with your venue, and everyone receives the same stack of symbolic chips. No one can buy more.
First 20 minutes
03
Teaching round
Hosts run slow, explanatory hands so nobody has to admit they have never played. This is the part that decides whether the night works.
First 30–40 minutes
04
Open play
Tables run continuously. Guests drift, watch, come back. Your speeches, dinner service and awards slot in around it.
The main stretch
05
Close and strike
Final hands are called, the leaderboard is read out, any recognition you have arranged is handed over, and we pack down and leave the room clean.
Last 30 minutes, plus strike
Service limits
Offline entertainment only. This is strictly offline event entertainment. There is no real-money gambling, no betting, no cash prizes, and no online casino service. Guests play with symbolic chips and points that hold no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for anything of value. Events are for adults aged 18+ and over.
Symbolic chips only
Guests receive unmarked chips or points at the start of the evening. They carry no monetary value, cannot be purchased, cannot be cashed out and cannot be exchanged for anything of value.
18+, checked at the door
Our hosts support your venue in checking age on entry. We do not run events for under-age guests and we do not market to them.
Offline, in your venue
Everything happens in a physical room, with physical tables and a human host. We operate no platform where anyone can play, and no app.
Anonymised at our clients’ request, which is the norm for private and corporate work.
Manitoba technology company
Year-end function · 180 guests
A function room that usually empties by nine
Brief
Three years of the same hotel ballroom, a buffet and a DJ. Attendance had been falling and the social committee wanted something that would hold people past the speeches.
What we ran
Four tables — two roulette, one blackjack, one poker-themed — plus two slot machines beside the bar, six hosts, branded chips in the company’s colours and a leaderboard screen.
Outcome
The room was still busy at half past eleven. The committee re-booked for the following year before we had finished the strike.
“Nobody left after the speeches. That had never happened before.”
Private milestone birthday
Private party · 45 guests
A sixtieth, at home, with a difficult guest list
Brief
Three generations of adults who did not know each other well, in a house with one large living room and a conservatory. The host wanted no speeches and no dancing.
What we ran
Two tables in the living room with a host each, a quieter blackjack table in the conservatory, and all kit carried in through a single doorway.
Outcome
Guests rotated between rooms for four hours without the host having to introduce anyone twice.
“I did not have to work the room once. The tables did it for me.”
Client names are withheld by agreement, so these are anonymised summaries of the kind of work we take on rather than endorsements from named brands. No participant at any event described received money or a prize of monetary value.
“We had a compliance review before we could sign anything. Chip and Chance sent the no-money, no-prizes terms over in writing the same afternoon and it went through without a single follow-up question.”
Pricing
Quoted on request
We do not publish a rate card, because two events with the same guest count can need very different crews and kit. Pricing depends on event size, venue and chosen format, and we prepare a quote based on your bespoke event concept.

Written back within one business dayOne document: crew, tables, timings, delivery, and what is excluded.
No charge for the planning callAdvice on format and floor plan costs nothing, whether or not you book.
No. Chip & Chance runs casino-themed entertainment at private, offline events. Guests are handed symbolic chips at the door, those chips have no monetary value, nobody buys them and nobody cashes them out. There is no betting, there are no cash prizes and we operate no online casino.
The format borrows the look and the sociability of a casino floor — a croupier, a wheel, a dealt hand — and leaves out the only part that makes it gambling: money at stake.
What do guests actually win?
Bragging rights, and whatever your host decides to recognise at the end of the evening. Many clients hand out a trophy, a bottle for the table that finished with the most chips, or nothing at all beyond the leaderboard on the screen.
What never happens is a payout. Chips cannot be exchanged for money or for anything of monetary value, and we will decline a brief that asks us to arrange that.
How many guests can you look after?
From a twelve-person boardroom evening to up to 350 guests. Running time is up to 6 hours, and most evenings settle at around three to four hours of live table play inside a longer function.
The constraint is almost never the guest count — it is how many tables your room can hold with enough space to stand behind them. We work that out from your floor plan before quoting.
Do you travel outside Manitoba?
Yes. We are based in Churchill, Manitoba and work across Canada. Our kit is flight-cased precisely because a good share of our work is in places you reach by rail or by air rather than by truck.
Travel, freight and crew accommodation appear as separate lines on your quote, so you can see exactly what the distance costs rather than finding it buried in a day rate.
How far ahead should we book?
For a year-end function in November or December, as early as you can — those weekends go first. For most other dates, four to six weeks is comfortable, and we have turned around a full evening in nine days when a venue cancellation forced it.
If your date is already fixed, send it through now and we will tell you honestly whether the crew is free.
Four fields. We reply within one business day with a written quote covering crew, tables, timings and delivery — and we will tell you if we think a different format suits your room better.
